In Norfolk we have a choice between two types of development. What I call 'The Norfolk Way' - small groups of mixed housing around our natural village and market towns - and The Prescott Way: massive house-dumping of huge housing estates without the necessary infrastructure or consideration for the community who will live there.

George is campaigning to scrap the Whitehall Housing Target system in which John Prescott and his civil servants tell Norfolk - through the unaccountable regional assembly - how many houses we must have. "Lets get back to a system where Norfolk people decide how we want to develop".

George with Frederick Forsyth launches his St George's Day rally to promote Englishness."English culture and identity is not something we should be ashamed of. And it is too precious to be given up over to football yobs or European bureaucrats. It belongs to all of us - we should celebrate it. Unless we celebrate our history it will be lost in a new Europe of Bureaucratic Regions".

George supports the flying of patriotic flags and is opposed to the politically correct multi-culturalism that says the English flag is divisive. "Let me know if you have any examples of multi-culturalism gone mad." To find out more, get involved or just stay in touch, click here and email George at george@georgefreeman.co.uk.

In Norfolk our country sports are part of our heritage. The hunting ban was based on prejudice and ignorance of rural traditions, and is unenforceable. All of us who value rural traditions have a duty to show their important contribution to the countryside and our rural heritage, acknowledge and respect those who feel differently and ensure all country sports are conducted properly and that there is no cruelty - I support a new Code of Good Practice for all Country Sports

George launches a new Business Club to support local businesses.

"Norfolk's businesses are our lifeblood - generating the jobs, opportunities, prosperity, products and services we all rely on. Small businesses are particularly important in rural areas. I am setting up a new Business Club to promote small business and enterprise and champion their needs. Please contact me to find out more or get involved."

A new generation of politicians have to re-earn public trust and respect - by demonstrating our commitment and our philosophy in our local communities.

George set up his Litter Action Squad after local residents had complained about the state of the litter problem. With sponsorship for overalls and gloves from a local business, his team of 10 youngsters get out and about on Saturdays to clean up local litter black spots.

"Politics done well should be a force for good in society. A source of hope, understanding, tolerance and shared values."

"Modern Britain is becoming too tribal with media and pressure group induced campaigns dividing men against women, young and old, urban and rural. We need to find ways to bring the generations back together."

If you have any ideas for campaigns or projects to promote community cohesion that you would like me to support or lead, I would love to hear from you. To find out more, get involved or just stay in touch, click here and email George at george@georgefreeman.co.uk

George sees for himself how the unenforceable hunting ban wastes precious Police resources.

"Bad law makes a mockery of us all - Parliament, the Police, the Courts - tying us all in red tape and ridiculous bureaucracy. We need to get back to some Common Sense."

George is campaigning for the next Conservative Government to pass a Repeal Act in its first Queens Speech repealing a raft of bad laws.

"I want to hear from people which laws they would like to see scrapped - please email me your suggestions."
