Future Breckland Board

All of our market towns face the familiar challenge of balancing new growth and development with the needs of the communities living in, and around, them – all the while preserving the unique rural heritage and way of life that we all cherish, and that makes our part of the world such an attractive place to visit.

That’s why, alongside my support for Breckland Council’s ‘Future Breckland Plan’ initiative (see more here), I welcomed the chance to join leaders from across Breckland’s Public and Private sectors last night – as part of the Future Breckland Board.

Meeting at the brilliant Poultec training facility in Mattishall, we discussed a wide variety of issues and topics – and I am certain that this insight from the local Public and Private sector will play a key role in helping Breckland Council realise the hopes and ambitions of its Market Town communities, while also ensuring they develop and progress in a way that safeguards and strengthens all that they hold dear.

I look forward to contributing to these discussions further in the weeks and months ahead.
