Having written to Post Office Ltd earlier this week to highlight local concerns following the news that the High Street branch is set to close later this month, I am pleased to report that I have now received assurances from Post Office Ltd that they are committed to opening a replacement branch as soon as possible.

This could be on a temporary basis until a permanent solution is found – but Post Office Ltd are committed to putting in place a long term replacement and will provide updates as soon as they have them.

Rest assured, I will continue to urge Post Office Ltd to get a replacement solution in place as soon as possible. However, in the meantime, if you are a local business with an interest in running the new local branch, please do let me know. I would be very happy to pass your information to Post Office Ltd.
