Since becoming MP for Mid Norfolk back in 2010, one of my central missions has been supporting our local market towns – to help ensure that they go from strength to strength, and continue to thrive.

That’s why, this past Friday, I was pleased to meet with the new Mayor of Attleborough, Cllr Vera Dale, to discuss a number of issues that are currently affecting the town.

On our agenda was the recent decision by Barclays to close their branch in Queen’s Square in the Autumn and the potential for improving the train station. We also discussed the Post Office, and whether
