On Friday I visited the frontline of Dementia care at the Wymondham Dementia Support Group (WDSG) Cafe. The café supports 30 people with dementia and their carers and every third Friday holds a singing cafe to deliver music therapy to help improve the health and well being of its members. WDSG has been working in partnership with age UK Norfolk, Wymondham town council and the local business community raising awareness of dementia to make Wymondham a dementia friendly community, and has recently been awarded the prized ‘Dementia Friendly’ town status.
