In some rural Norfolk villages, there is sometimes a sense of loss of community spirit leading to loneliness and other problems. I have long argued for the power of community in forming a sense of identity in our area and making sure no one is left to suffer in silence.

That’s why I was delighted to see Wymondham out in full force at their recent Carnival, re-introduced by the Wymondham Business Group after an absence of 20 years.

I was honoured to be invited by the Carnival team to judge the best float and to see such a good time being had by all.
