Rural youth employment is a particular problem; youngsters leaving school or college in rural areas don’t have the same chance as those in the city. There are often fewer opportunities for young people to work within the smaller micro-businesses within Norfolk that are often ‘unseen’.

That is why I welcome work experience students in my constituency office and also in Westminster so that youngsters can experience ‘real time’ working life.
