For decades, the Social Care sector has been the poor relation to the NHS. But care is key to a compassionate community, dignity for our elderly and the easing of pressure on that very same NHS.

That’s why the Government has given an extra £3bn a year to social care – and why I continue to speak with ministers and officials, on behalf of Mid Norfolk, as they continue to provide support to this crucial sector.

It was a privilege to visit Buckingham Lodge Care Home in Watton this past Friday with local Breckland district councillor Helen Crane to thank dedicated staff providing real love and care as part of the Kingsley Healthcare vision of hotel-grade care for local residents.
