I believe the UK has the chance to be the pioneer of 21stC healthcare cementing its position as the best place on earth to develop healthcare innovations, ushering in a new era of patient empowerment.

That’s why I was delighted recently to deliver the keynote speech and a Q&A at the Respublica 21stC Healthcare Conference at the Google Campus in Shoreditch.

I set out the Government’s commitment to precision medicine, prevention and patient empowerment, and talked about how our Life Sciences Strategy is transforming patient experience and driving economic growth, creating new jobs, opportunities and skills training.

Life Sciences is one of the major success stories of this Government, and yesterday I was proud to set out all that has been achieved since the launch of the landmark Life Sciences Strategy in 2011.
