At the age of 79, Peter Parke keeps a firm hand on the family business working seven days a week, six in the shop and one behind the scenes placing orders.

 

He is famous for his specialities - unique sausages, ham cooked overnight, pork cheese and pork dripping with onion.

 

His daughter Jayne points to the benefits of the independent butcher who can offer locally sourced products, with a wide range of cuts and individualised portions. With the arrival of a new supermarket in Wymondham this August, it is hoped that his customer base will remain as loyal as ever.
