As the UK’s population grows it is not surprising that many more people want to come to Norfolk to live, work and enjoy our beautiful countryside. Wymondham is no exception; given its proximity and rail links to Norwich, Cambridge and London, great schools, history and heritage, and stunning landscape it is the perfect Norfolk market town. Unsurprisingly, Wymondham’s population is expanding and there is a growing demand for more homes and services for new and existing residents.

South Norfolk District Council is running a public consultation on their Urban Design Framework document entitled ‘Connecting South Wymondham’, between Wednesday 8th May and Wednesday 3rd July. ‘Connecting South Wymondham’ will become the background evidence document for the Wymondham Area Action Plan (WAAP).

The primary aim of the ‘Connecting South Wymondham’ document is to demonstrate how connectivity could be improved between existing and proposed new housing development in the South of Wymnondham and the town centre and wider town.

This document is available on their website www.south-norfolk.gov.uk/wymondham. Send in your comments to: lp@s-norfolk.gov.uk. All comments need to reach the Council by 5pm on Wednesday 3rd July.

I believe we need sensitive development across our area, and this public consultation is the perfect opportunity for this correct form of targeted and appropriate planning to take place.
