For too long our area has been held back by poor transport links, condemning us to be a rural backwater.

That’s why I was delighted to join the Transport Secretary and fellow Norfolk MPs to open the A11 on Friday. The dualling from Fiveways to Thetford means Mid Norfolk and Norwich will now be connected to the motorway and dual carriageway network.

This is the new infrastructure we need to unlock new growth in Norfolk along the Cambridge-Norwich “Innovation Corridor” and bring our historic county into the 21st Century.
