Too often young people in rural areas find themselves denied the opportunities of their counterparts in other parts of the country.

That’s why I set up the Norfolk Way seven years ago to promote rural entrepreneurial achievement and help young people get the skills and training they need to thrive in the workplace.

It was an enormous pleasure recently to meet the students that have been selected for this year’s Bursary Scheme at Wayland Academy.

This scheme is about encouraging our youngsters to aspire to take their opportunities. Through NWES, they will be given some great work experience placements. Congratulations to them all!
