Thank you to the c. 500 people who attended the inaugural Norfolk Enterprise Festival on Saturday – as well as all of the MPs, councillors, businesses and sponsors that helped make it possible.
Although chilly and a little wet, the enthusiasm of all those who joined us to hear from a wide variety of inspiring speakers was incredible – as was the desire to see the event grow and develop next year, and in the years thereafter.
Norfolk is home to a thriving entrepreneurial community that, often, we don’t get to see or hear about. Hidden away in sheds, bedrooms, industrial estates and old farm buildings, so many small and medium sized businesses are quietly driving forward tremendous innovation – and it’s about time we gave that community the platform it deserves to promote itself and share ideas/collaborate with one another.
It was brilliant to see this network thriving at Saturday’s Festival and I know that my parliamentary colleagues and I, as well as the councillors, LEP and Chamber of Commerce, will take away the fantastic ideas and feedback being put to us as we go about our daily business of trying to ensure that Norfolk is as prosperous as it can be.
