Having spent fifteen years starting small businesses in our region before coming to Parliament, I know first-hand that businesses are the key to our economic recovery, creating jobs and providing opportunities and skills training.

That’s why I was delighted to talk to over 160 local business people at a recent Norfolk Chamber of Commerce Event, where I spoke on recent developments on broadband to help make sure entrepreneurs and businesses in our area have the infrastructure they need.

I also spoke on the dualling of the A11 and investment in the A47, both vital growth corridors in our area. With faster broadband and upgraded roads, I believe we are on the cusp of a ‘Rural Renaissance’, making our area a centre of high-tech innovation and part of a thriving local economy.
