For too long and far too often, Norfolk has been regarded by some as a rural backwater for education, and in particular, for Science and Technology.

If we are going to unlock the full potential of Norfolk’s young people and equip them to succeed in the increasingly competitive global economy particularly with the growing opportunities on our doorstep at the N and N Hospital, The Norwich Research Park, Hethel and Lotus Cars, then we must do all we can to encourage the next generation

That’s why I am delighted to announce the launch of the Norfolk Innovation Awards which will take place in January 2015 at Wymondham High Academy.
