Recently I called a public meeting with the residents of Hingham and representatives from the Post Office to discuss how we can maintain this crucial service after the closure of the current site. The Post Office explained the various grants and funding that are in place to help an existing or new business that wishes to take on this service.

Post offices are the hubs of our rural towns and villages so it is absolutely vital we do all we can to enable it to remain open.
