Recently I helped launch the Rural Development Strategy for Norfolk.

Among many different aims, the Strategy is focused on building on our existing strength in agri-tech, increasing the number of rural jobs and business start-ups, delivering superfast broadband and mobile coverage, driving up attainment in rural schools and increasing the rate at which affordable housing is developed.

I was very happy to be able to join the other speakers in supporting these initiatives and being part of shaping a better future for Norfolk. I look forward to working with Norfolk County Council to help implement these initiatives in due course.
