Everyone wants to keep their children safe online and protected from disturbing images and content. That is why I support the work of the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) and their mission to disrupt the availability of child sexual abuse content and prevent children from stumbling upon criminally obscene adult content in the UK. It is also why I continue to support my colleague Claire Perry MP's campaign for an 'opt-out' system of automatic censoring for child protection rather than an 'opt-in' system. I am therefore delighted to become an IWF Champion in order to promote the work the IWF are doing to protect our children on the internet. There will be an official IWF Champion launch in Westminster on the 24th October, where I look forward to taking an active part in further raising awareness of this important issue around Parliament.
