We hear that the County Council are proposing to stop the vital school bus service from the Blenheim Grange estate to Carbrooke primary school in the next few months and, in doing so, will make the young children walk more than two miles each way.

This is not acceptable, and I will fight for the constituents of Blenheim Grange to make sure they have access to the transport facilities they need.

The housing estate of Blenheim Grange in Carbrooke, just outside Watton, already suffers from severe infrastructure problems. There is a lack of facilities, including a school, which an estate of that size should have.

That is why I walked the proposed route last Friday afternoon with the clerk and the vice chair of the Parish Council, Francis Needham and Ed Buscall, and saw for myself just how unsuitable and frankly dangerous parts of the route are.

I am determined to make sure the residents of Blenheim Grange get a fair deal.
