I was delighted to have the opportunity to speak yesterday in the debate following the budget.
I highlighted the disastrous consequences of Labour's debt legacy, the groundbreaking announcements on science and innovation and the measures to help hardworking savers.
I was also particularly pleased to hear about the Cambridge City Deal announcement. I have long been campaigning on increased infrastructure investment for Cambridge as part of making East Anglia a regional hub of innovation.
Promoting exports, investing in innovation and helping savers who have been clobbered by low interest rates for too long - this was a budget for growth.
