Blenheim Grange – Community Hub Opening

Over the years, the Blenheim Grange estate has faced its fair share of challenges, including a number of key infrastructure problems such as unfinished and unadoptable pavements and the lack of a proper community meeting point.

That’s why I was delighted to join the Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk, as well as local councillors Helen Crane and Claire Bowes, at last week’s official opening of the new Community Hub on the estate – the culmination of years of tireless work by councillors and volunteers.

Having visited the Residents’ Association several times over the years in their cramped, not fit for purpose second-hand shipping container that had been donated for the purposes of community meetings, I am so proud of the tremendous local efforts that went into making the brand new Community Hub a reality.

The new facility is fantastic and finally gives the local community a proper home for their local gatherings, events and celebrations. I look forward to showing it my own support (perhaps even holding a surgery or two there) in the months to come.
