George sees for himself how the unenforceable hunting ban wastes precious Police resources.

"Bad law makes a mockery of us all - Parliament, the Police, the Courts - tying us all in red tape and ridiculous bureaucracy. We need to get back to some Common Sense."

George is campaigning for the next Conservative Government to pass a Repeal Act in its first Queens Speech repealing a raft of bad laws.

"I want to hear from people which laws they would like to see scrapped - please email me your suggestions."

"Too many of our citizens - especially our senior citizens - live in fear of crime and yobs. We need to stand together and resist intimidation."

"My Campaign 'Communities Fight Back' is about finding ways that local communities can do just that. I believe in the policy of 'Tough Love' - we need to do more to invest in and support our youngsters, but all children need standards and discipline too."

George wants to see teachers given more freedom to exercise discipline in schools, more local accountability for the Police, and supported the Bill to legalise self defence for citizens confronted by intruders in your own home.

Norfolk is home to wonderful local food producers and local retailers.

"Buying local helps support healthy living, promote our rural economy and cuts down on wasteful and polluting emissions. Lets all support the EDP's Shop Here! campaign - and help make Norfolk the Local Food County."

George is planning a series of events in the summer to promote local produce, retailers and community shops. To find out more, get involved or just stay in touch, click here and email George at george@georgefreeman.co.uk

George is working closely with local County, District and Parish councillors across the Mid Norfolk area.

"All politics starts locally. I believe MPs today have to work closely with councillors - of all parties and none - to make things happen locally. In the recent local elections I spent time over April and May out on the doorsteps across the constituency with councillors, listening to voters concerns across the Mid Norfolk area. I look forward to being able, as your MP, to follow up those concerns and make a difference."

George being interviewed by local Radio on Election Night 2005, as it became clear that he had nearly produced the shock result of the night by doubling the national swing with one of the best 20 Conservative results in the country

"Standing for Parliament in Great Britain - the home of Parliamentary democracy and the Mother of Parliaments - is a huge privilege. All of us in politics - regardless of party - have to do more to promote and defend the idea and spirit of democracy in modern Britain."
