Meeting with Minister for Disabled People

How we care for our most vulnerable people is an important marker by which our society can, and should, be judged by. They are also one of the key groups for whom we need to level-up access to opportunities: from mobility, accessibility and jobs.

That’s why I welcomed the chance to join a call this afternoon with Andrew Proctor (Leader of Norfolk County Council), NCC officials and Chloe Smith MP (the new Minister for Disabled People, Health and Work) to hear how HMG is delivering the National Disability Strategy and brief the Minister on the work taking place locally with groups like the Disability Network Norfolk Group to speak up for working age disabled adults and their families.

Rest assured, I remain committed to doing all I can to support our region’s most vulnerable.
