NDR ‘Missing Link’

It is imperative that Norfolk has the modern transport network it needs to thrive in the years to come – and that’s why I have been so committed to working with my parliamentary colleagues,
councillors, local businesses and communities to help bring improvement about.

Recent traffic counts to the north and west of Norwich have further highlighted the growing traffic problems in villages to the west of the city, and strengthened the case for adding the ‘missing link’ between the NDR (Broadland Northway) and the A47. This follows the public consultation earlier this year in which the majority of the 1,700 respondents said roads to the west of the city were not suitable for the amount of traffic using them.

I look forward to building on the work I am doing with all those involved in supporting the A47 Alliance’s campaign to get the A47 fully dualled, and supporting Norfolk County Council as they look to ensure the right transport infrastructure is put in place to the west of the city.
