Mid Norfolk Railway

Further to its success a couple of weeks ago in securing a £100,000 grant from the EU that would allow it to build a new engine shed at its Dereham headquarters AND its recent appearance in the BBC’s current drama series Bodyguard, the Mid Norfolk Railway has enjoyed yet another local victory!

Last week, a train stopped at Hardingham Station for the first time in almost fifty years! The Station has been reopened after track renewal work was carried out there as part of the Railway’s new partnership with Greater Anglia to supply storage and commissioning facilities for their new fleet of trains.

I am delighted to see the Railway making even more progress, and I look forward to continuing to watch it go from strength to strength in the months and years ahead.
