Potholes

I welcomed the Transport Secretary’s announcement that a further £100million is to be made available to repair potholes across the country – and I am delighted that Norfolk’s share of this money, at just under £3.5m, is among the largest in the country.

Only the North East, Lincolnshire and Devon have been allocated larger shares of these extra funds, and in the wake of ‘the Beast from the East’, I know this money will be a welcome boost to our county’s roads.

Norfolk County Council are now assessing which stretches of road are in the most urgent need of repair, and I would encourage my constituents to get in touch with NCC to highlight any particular areas where they believe such repairs are desperately needed.
