Meeting with New Anglia LEP

The Covid-19 pandemic was a particularly difficult time for so many – including the local businesses and entrepreneurs that are the true engine of our Norfolk, and national, economy. Many are bouncing back however and, for Norfolk in particular, it’s an extremely exciting time as we find ourselves on the frontline of the ‘Green Revolution’ with locations such as the NRP, Hethel Engineering Centre, the Easton Food Enterprise Park and the A11 Tech Corridor pioneering the science, innovation and research that will create thousands of new companies and jobs of tomorrow – spreading prosperity to us all here in Mid Norfolk.

That’s why I appreciated the chance to speak with New Anglia LEP Chief Executive, Chris Starkie, this past week to discuss the LEP’s ongoing efforts to support and promote local businesses and entrepreneurs here in the East.

There is much good work being done and, as a former entrepreneur myself and current Business Minister once again, I remain committed to doing all I can to support local Business and ensure they are able to grasp the tremendous opportunities that are on offer.
