Future Breckland Plan - Attleborough

How do we ensure that 4,000 new houses to the south of Attleborough won’t destroy the heartbeat of this historic town and instead create a beautiful, healthy, ‘green’, thriving town for the next generation?

With a proper Plan.

That’s why Attleborough Town Council and its many partners worked so hard to develop their Neighbourhood Plan, and why they are all working with Breckland Council on a ‘Future Breckland Plan’ to explore ways of breathing fresh life into the town so that it remains a wonderful place to live, work and visit.

It was a pleasure to join Breckland officers and local councillors this past Friday to talk through this work in further depth – particularly with regards to the potential of transforming the Railway Station into a community/business hub with 5G wifi (a proper “gateway” to the town centre), as well as what will become of the current Banham Poultry site long term.

There is much work to do but I look forward to working with the team to ensure Attleborough’s Plan is brought to fruition in a way that benefits residents and businesses for many years to come.
