Fischer Farms visit

Given my strong interest in Science, Research and Innovation, I have long been an advocate of the nearby Norwich Research Park and Hethel Engineering Centre, as well as the wider, fast growing science and innovation cluster here in Norfolk - with the Easton Food Enterprise Park now a key part of that.

That’s why I was delighted to be asked by Fischer Farms, along with Jerome Mayhew, to visit their exciting new project to build one of the largest vertical farms in the world.  Producing salad crops to herbs on its four-acre site, using renewable energy and recycling its own water, the farm will be among the most environmentally friendly and sustainable in the world, leading the way in one of the most exciting fields of our day.

Yet another fine example of more and more science and innovation businesses popping up and creating jobs and prosperity for our local communities! (Just like the growing business Nova Farina – see more here: here )
