In recent months my casework post bag has been dominated by many letters and emails from constituents frustrated about the delays they are experiencing with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency. While I have raised each of these cases with the MP’s hotline at the DVLA, it continues to be a dominant issue.

That’s why I have now written to the Secretary of State for Transport, Grant Shapps MP regarding the wider policy issue of the delays and to ask what further measures the Government might be able to take, including in relation to the delays in postal and medical applications, which seem to be of particular issue for constituents.
