The Norfolk, Norwich and Waveney MND Branch is committed to supporting families affected by motor neurone disease, and having met with them first-hand, I know just how essential their work is.

The MND Association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland (Registered Charity no. 294354).

They are currently recruiting support volunteers across Norfolk and have asked me to advertise this. By giving just a few hours a week you could make a huge impact. As an Association Visitor you would maintain contact with people living with MND, their families and carers, offering confidential emotional support, information and help to access services and equipment. This challenging and rewarding role allows you to help people with the disease live life to the fullest. Other roles are also available, and I am sure any amount of support or volunteering would also be welcome. All volunteers receive full training and mentoring is provided by their Area Support Coordinator.
