Total Health Pharmacy is one of the first four pharmacies in Norfolk to achieve Healthy Living Pharmacy status. The scheme was first launched in Portsmouth to recognise those pharmacies who make health and wellbeing advice and services a core offering to their local communities.

I am pleased to see such excellence rewarded at the heart of Watton, that is why I launched the Healthy Living Pharmacy in Watton on Friday and was glad to learn that I have healthy blood pressure.
Local people should take advantage of the services on offer at their local pharmacy; you wouldn’t run a car without servicing it so why do we do it to our bodies?

Total Health Pharmacy offers a quit smoking service, sexual health advice, medicines reviews and NHS Health Checks as well as taking part in public health campaigns and being involved in local community projects.

Lucy Macleod, Interim Director of Public Health said: “Having Healthy Living Pharmacies means that more people will be able to access a range of services to help them stay healthy at times and places that suit them. Congratulations to the four newly accredited pharmacies and I hope there will be more to follow”.

Total Health Pharmacy achieved their accreditation by meeting high standards against 22 quality criteria as well as training a dedicated member of staff in understanding health improvement with a level 2 award from the Royal Society of Public Health.

Total Health Pharmacy is open 7 days a week from 8am until late into the evening at 14 Gregor Shanks Way, Watton, opposite the Watton Medical Practice.
