Patient empowerment and the fight against Prostate Cancer

On Friday I’m launching this year’s Movember in Parliament, showing MPs, peers and all staff in the Palace of Westminster united in the fight against prostate cancer.
One in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer. A man will die from prostate cancer every hour – more than 10,000 men will die of the disease this year in the UK.
To show our support we are organising numerous events:
Movember Parliamentary reception (Meeting Room O): Monday 4th, 5-6pm with photo shoot
PMQs photo shoot (Westminster Hall): Wednesday 27th, after PMQs
We are also creating a Parliamentary Movember Wall of Support. For those working in Parliament who don’t want to become full Mo Bros (i.e. grow a moustache during November), you can become an honorary Mo Bro by sending in a message of support and a photo to
