Norwich in 90

I was delighted that the first ‘Norwich in 90’ train hit its targets – Norwich to Ipswich in 30 minutes and Norwich to London in 90 minutes. This was a key part of the East Anglian Rail Prospectus I led in 2011 – which also includes the Norwich-Cambridge upgrade.

This is a very positive step to getting the railway network which Norfolk and the East needs and deserves if it is to become a true 21st Century powerhouse.

I look forward to continuing works in the future and getting the upgrading of the Norwich-Cambridge line as part of a half-hourly service.
