Planning - Wellingham

While we want to see our local economy thriving, we need to ensure that growth is done positively, rather than at the expense of the rural way of life that we all hold so dear – and which makes Mid Norfolk such a wonderful place to live, work and visit!

That’s why, having been contacted by a handful of local people with concerns, I have written to all households in the village of Wellingham to highlight an application for a new dairy farm in the village that is due to be heard by the Breckland Planning Committee next week. (Ref: 3PL/2020/1484/F – Erection of a Dairy Unit on land to the west of The Street, Wellingham)

When an application appears in a local community, it is vital that local residents and businesses take the time to submit their views – positive or negative – so that the opinions of the wider community are well recorded and considered during an application’s determination.

If YOU have an interest in this application, PLEASE do take the time to send your comments to the case officer at Breckland, Fiona Hunter, at fiona.hunter@breckland.gov.uk

The more residents and businesses that have their say, the more likely it is that the community will get the decision it wants.

Rest assured, I will continue to liaise closely with the local councillor, Robert Hambidge, and follow progress closely.
