As I continue to follow developments around the situation at Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust closely, I was pleased to join a call for all Norfolk and Suffolk MPs today – hosted by the Minister for Care and Mental Health – that allowed us to share our thoughts, as well as the feedback and concerns being expressed by so many of our constituents.

The Minister understood clearly the importance of this issue and, having ensured staff from the CQC and other key bodies were present, undertook to have a regular and direct dialogue with us in the weeks and months ahead as we look to ensure there is a proper solution to the troubles that have for too long undermined mental health provision here in the East.

Rest assured, I will continue to play an active role in this work and will stand up for those that need mental health support, and their families, here in Mid Norfolk.
