Having worked tirelessly over the last 2 yrs to secure the £200m Dental Recovery Plan from the last Government and the UEA Norfolk Dental School I’m delighted that today the new Minister Stephen Kinnock made clear his support for the bid and recognition of its strengths, and his willingness to visit Norwich and see the UEA training school facility. 

I also raised with him the issue of Fair Pricing for people who have not been able to access an NHS dentist and then have to get private treatment for serious complications and are confronted by a massive one-off bill. While the new tariff and dentists  come on stream we need fair payment plans for those who have no choice but to go private. 

I’ll be writing to the Minister to make this case and urging the Government to promote Fair Payment Plans for those who can’t afford one off bills for private dentistry.
