When times are hard the people of Mid Norfolk pull together. From taking refugees into their homes or driving aid over to war torn regions of the Ukraine, the support is always there.

That is why I was delighted to hear the Dereham community have got together and opened the Ukraine Aid Centre in Wrights Walk to provide support and friendship to people who have settled in Norfolk.

Ukrainian families were the guests of honour and given a huge welcome. The centre allows children to socialise and play with toys, and the families are able to pick up donated clothing and food.

Rest assured I will continue to support the efforts made in the community however I can.
