Having been in business for fifteen years before standing as an MP, and having previously been a business minister, one of my central missions has always been supporting the hard-working entrepreneurs who provide the engine for our economy.

Cranswick Country Foods are one of the largest employers in Norfolk and have faced very trying times throughout the Covid pandemic – being affected by labour shortages that have had negative impacts on the business.

That is why I had a meeting with the CEO Adam Couch, as well as the site’s leadership team, to discuss the issues in greater depth and see what more I can do to help ensure the experiences of Cranswick Foods and others in the farming and local food processing sectors are brought to the attention of key Ministers and officials.

Rest assured, I am working tirelessly on this issue and will continue to speak up for Cranswick and many other businesses across Mid Norfolk.
