One of my central missions since becoming an MP has been to help our councils, community groups  and local charities and organisations boost the ‘offer’ that they all provide the communities they serve.

That’s why I continue to do all I can to help local sports clubs here in Mid Norfolk. Having previously agreed to help Watton Hockey Club further their campaign to replace the astropitch at Watton Sports Centre (see more here), I have since been contacted by several local football teams (adult and youth teams) asking what more can be done to boost grassroots football in the area – particularly with regards to increasing the number of grass and all-weather pitches available.

Although I do not have the power to directly step in and implement measures that will resolve this, I  am committed to working with local teams, councils and others to see what more can be done.
