Wymondham in Bloom

11th July 2019

As our bright town of Wymondham comes into bloom with flowers and plants for the masses to enjoy, I am delighted to show my support through decorating the windows of my constituency office, 8 Damgate Street, Wymondham.

This year Wymondham in Bloom have partnered with Wymondham Garden Centre to encourage businesses and residents on the main streets of the Town to decorate their fronts with creative floral displays and beautiful flowers.

On 16th July Wymondham in Bloom has organised an expert panel of gardeners from the Wymondham Garden Club to judge our high streets business floral arrangements. The Town Team have also registered Wymondham to be part of the regional edition of flower campaigns, Anglia in Bloom. The Bloom judges will be taken on a tour of our wonderful Town highlighting the delightful displays that everyone has designed.

Sadly my office and I are not able to hang out baskets or floral displays, so I asked one of my summer Work Experience students to design a window display for my office. Kindly she has and I am delighted to show my support through this display, which can be seen from the judging route. In preparation for judging day Wymondham in Bloom hope to gain support from lots of volunteers to ensure the Town is extra tidy and blooming with colourful flowers. Volunteers can help the campaign with a variety of community projects involving weeding, painting, litter picking, planting and more. For any questions please do message Town Team on Facebook or email WymBloom@gmail.com

I look forward to our wonderful Town of Wymondham to be blooming with pride in these coming weeks, and I would like to thank all of the volunteers and campaigners who make this event possible.
