A Vision for Watton and Wayland

George Freeman MP co-chairs the “A Vision for Watton and Wayland” event
30th January 2019

I welcomed the opportunity to co-chair the “A Vision for Watton and Wayland” event on Friday night – alongside the Watton Town Mayor, Tina Kiddell.

Almost forty people (including Town Council representatives, local councillors, local government officials, business people, community group figures and head teachers) came to the event, and a number of positive outcomes were agreed upon – including the formation of a new Partnership that will work together to drive forward several initiatives that would benefit the area.

By harnessing a stronger, more unified community voice, I am confident that the new Partnership will be a success – and I am committed to supporting it as it looks to press on with the promising ideas already being floated.
