A Vision for Watton and Wayland

23rd January 2019

I was delighted to visit the Wayland Partnership in Watton again this past Friday – to catch up with Jan Godfrey, the Chair of Trustees at the Partnership, and someone who has driven forward so many positive initiatives in the area.

Jan updated me on the work being carried out by the Partnership, and took the time to show me the lovely community garden that was opened last year.

Jan also has a wealth of local knowledge and experience, and will be participating in the “A Vision for Watton and Wayland” event that I will soon be co-chairing with Watton Town Mayor, Tina Kiddell, to bring together local councillors, community groups, businesses and local government officials to form a more cohesive Partnership in the area. With a stronger voice, Watton and Wayland can bring about more beneficial change and progress, and I am firmly committed to supporting the local community as they press ahead with that.
