Opening the National Biosample Centre

That’s why I was delighted recently to open the NIHR National Biosample Centre in Milton Keynes. Combined with our investment of 1 billion per year into the NHS Research infrastructure, it is a sign of the power of our NHS in research for prevention as well as treatment.

My mission as Minister for Life Sciences is to make the UK the best place in the world to discover and develop 21st Century healthcare innovations. Opening the new Centre recently was yet another great step on that journey.
