Old Buckenham Crossing

18th July 2017

Old Buckenham is one of the most picturesque villages in Mid Norfolk with great pubs, a vibrant public airfield and excellent village shops and schools.

Close to rapidly expanding Attleborough and with a fourth school opening soon in the village, it is essential that Old Buckenham retains its sense of self and that the residents, and most importantly the children, can cross over the increasingly busy B1103 in a safe manner.

That’s why I was delighted to meet recently with members of the Parish Council, the local District and County Councillor and the relevant head from Norfolk County Council, Tom McCabe to discuss how this can be achieved, against a backdrop of budget constraints.

I am hopeful for progress and a positive solution in the not too distant future.
