Norfolk Police and Fire Service

5th February 2018

As I have repeatedly made clear in the months since the Election, I believe that those of us in public office owe it to our constituents to ensure that precious taxpayers’ money is not wasted on unnecessary (and often duplicated) back office administration. Instead, we must ensure that it reaches the frontline services we all need and cherish.

That’s why I, along with all of the other Norfolk Conservative MPs, have written to the Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk, Lorne Green, to express our support for properly exploring any potential benefits that closer governance of Police and Fire Emergency services might be able to bring.

Please be assured that I shall continue to monitor developments in this area very closely in the weeks and months ahead.
