Norfolk Farmers Meeting

George Freeman and Norfolk MPs meet with a local NFU delegation in Westminster
26th February 2019

Having grown up around a farming community, and having worked supporting the industry with the National Farmers’ Union, I am passionate about backing 21st Century farming and the major contribution it makes to our rural economy and landscape, growth, jobs and opportunities in our area.

I was, therefore, delighted to meet with the Norfolk National Farmers Union delegation and fellow MP’s yesterday in Parliament to discuss key issues facing frontline farmers in my constituency and across Norfolk, including: irrigation licenses, the Agriculture Bill, rural crime and Brexit.

I am determined to support the ongoing success of Norfolk farming and to ensure the major contribution it makes to our rural economy is recognised.
