Great Dunham School

3rd October 2018

Congratulations to Great Dunham Primary School – who have been awarded £27,700 by the Heritage Lottery Fund for a project which will research about the men from Great Dunham and Little Dunham who fought and died in the First World War.

The Fields Familiar, Foreign and Far Away project will see youngsters develop an understanding of the men, many of whom were farmworkers in our area, before sharing what they’ve learned at presentations and performances in Great Dunham and Dereham.

If YOU have any information about any of the soldiers, please do show your support for this fantastic initiative and get in touch with Great Dunham School via email at or phone 01328 701357.

Norfolk is steeped in history and heritage such as this, and these projects are a vitally important part of ensuring that it is remembered and honoured for generations to come.
