Markets are so often at the centre of community life, and the Wymondham Friday Markey is no different.

That’s why, having met with stallholders before Christmas and spoken with the Town Council, I met with a local taskforce of town councillors and stallholders back in May to discuss how we could work together to breath more life/reinvigorate the town market, by attracting more stalls and a greater variety of products.

Having followed the progress of the taskforce closely, I was delighted to see a number of measures introduced to lure more stalls to the town and increase footfall – and I was pleased to hear an update this past Friday informing me of the great strides that have already been made.

I look forward to continuing to work with the taskforce going forward, and to seeing the new stalls in action.
